About the role

This is a part-time, independent contractor (1099) position, ideal for therapists looking for flexibility and a meaningful way to grow their practice while being able to focus on delivering care.

• Stance Health is looking for licensed mental health therapists in Michigan to join our team and provide virtual therapy to individuals living with chronic pain.
• We are looking for candidates who care deeply about helping an underserved community of individuals struggling with chronic pain.
• This is an opportunity to meaningfully impact the trajectory of a growing company. You’ll collaborate directly with company leadership to iterate and improve our care model.

What you’ll do

• Conduct virtual therapy sessions with clients in chronic pain.
• Deliver high-quality, meaningful therapy using evidence-based interventions for treating chronic pain (CBT, ACT, EAET, PRT, etc.).
• Assist clients in implementing lifestyle modifications and self-care strategies.
• Provide psychoeducation on the connection between chronic pain and mental health.

Qualifications

• Experience working with clients in chronic pain and interest in deepening expertise working with this population.
• Licensed to practice therapy in the state of Michigan.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and technology to conduct virtual sessions.
• Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
